Malo and Summer Valmagna were baptised at the Family Service in Slavin Parish church on Sunday 20th January, by Rev. Anita Kerr. The Sunday School children read the prayers and Bible Readings. Rev. Anita explained the meaning of Baptism to the children, using the letters B-A-P-T-I-S-M, with the Bible and water on display. They made a banner from the letters.
After the baptism Rev. Anita then said that Malo and Summer had Jesus as their special friend who was always there for them. The choir members present sang, ‘What a friend we have in Jesus.’
