Slavin Family Service - Sunday 21st October 2012
This service, the first to be held this year, was very well attended by the Sunday School children and their parents. It was also very pleasing to see some Pre-Sunday School children present.
Rev. Anita Kerr took ‘The Creation’ as her theme, by starting at the beginning of the Bible. The Readings were read by Adam Ovens and Kathy Ovens, and all the Sunday school children took part in reading the prayers of intercession.
In her address to the children, Rev. Anita explained the different stages of creation and at each stage she had something in her large basket to represent the different aspects of The Creation the sky, sea, land, sun, moon, plants, sea animals, birds, and animals on the land. The children assisted her in putting a wonderful collage of creation together at the front of the church.; not forgetting to use the children standing around her as the human beings, who God created in his own image!
